The Office of the Virgin Islands Inspector General released its Fiscal Year 2014 Audit Plan. Among the various audits planned for 2014, the Inspector General’s Office hopes to complete three projects still in progress during Fiscal Year 2013, to include: the Audit of the Remedial Account for the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections, the Audit of the Economic Development Commission at the VI Economic Development Authority, and the Audit of the Controls over the Department of Education’s School Lunch Program. In addition three other projects should be started during the 2014 Fiscal Year to include: the Inspection of Property Tax Auctions at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, the Inspection of the Alternative Investment Program of the Government Employees Retirement System, and the Audit of the Public Finance Authority (Joint Project OVIIG/OIG-DOI).
